The 1955 Chevrolet
Nomad has been owned by the Tornow Family since 1976 and underwent its first
rebuild that finished in 1979. The
second restification started in the July of 1999 when the frame was completely
reworked and finished off, and major body panels were replaced (floorboards,
rear wheel wells, door skin, rear tailgate hinge area and tailgate rebuilt,
firewall smoothed along with many other patch panels.)
The Car entered the
body shop in April 2001 and re-emerged in April 2003 when the final work began
that resulted in it finally roaring back to life in Jan 2004. The interior followed in February with many
other details to get it ready for it’s 1st official showing at the
2004 Chevrolet Nomad Association convention in St. Louis, Missouri. GREAT
JOB DON!
